My cat seems to breathe heavily. especially after walking up the stairs. He's not small by any means, but at 12 lbs. he's not really obese either. He's only had it for a few days, and he's still eating, and drinking. He's grooming normally. He's lying around a little more, but that might be boredom. We're trying to sell our house, and most of their toys have to stay put away. I'm thinking if it persists more than a few more days I'll bring him in. Anything here suggest I should bring him sooner?

When my male cat heard the meowing at the beginning of the video, he ran to the speaker to try to find the new cat.

My cat has wheezing spells several times a day, but otherwise seems completely fine – is eating well, energy is high, etc. We've taken him to the vet a few times but he finds it really distressing, so we don't really want to stress him out too much. I'm hoping where some generic medication for this that might help…

my cat recently just started wheezing or coughing it what it sounds like. He hadn't done it from the time I had him (about 5-8 months now) but now he has been doing it often and today (2-7-2017) he sounded the worse like its getting worse for him. I can't afford a vet in any way right now and i'm concerned. it saddens me to see him go through it. If he does get any worse I will take him to a vet even if it cost me to have to use my rent money to make sure he gets better but hopefully it don't come to that.

My kitty only starts wheezing when he is under extreme stress, or when he is going for a walk. When we pull on his leash a bit too much, he'll start wheezing. I'm convinced that the leash is a problem. The harness is made of three parts, the middle section, which holds onto the other two sections. The other two sections hold onto under his neck and behind his front legs. The two sections are a bit thin, and I have been wondering if I should just get a different kind of leash which sort of merges the other two sections… what do you think about getting a different harness? My cat is too sassy and wouldn't take me changing his walking habits, so that would have to be the last resort.

Recently my cat had a abcess on his tail. He's gotten better from it but lately he's been having these weird bouts of wheezing. He goes from laying down next to me, activity he does most of the times the attacks happen, to going to the floor. I thought he might have been throwing up so I went to comfort him. It goes on for about 2 -3 minutes and happens about 4-5 times immediately after one another. Then he lays down, always on his back, and rests for a few hours or till the next attack. He stays mainly in my room because doesn't get along with all our other cats. I clean the room regularly because I have asthma myself. Does anyone have any clues?

I received a cat with no medical records (they were kicking him out so my family took him). How do you get papers for a cat, is there cat insurance? What is the best thing to do?

The meow at the beginning was distressing to my cat who just had a respiratory issue. Dumb editing.

Ok.. so we have a 9-10 yr old girl who has asthma, per her dad. I feel like its more like pneumonia tho.. she has the usual asthma hacking sounds, but they are very wet sounding. Which makes me feel like its not asthma. I would have a vet check her but we dont have the money for that sadly. Any advice or ideas would help!

My three cats and I have been really sick. My oldest of 17 years had to be hospitalized for three days. I found out we're having long term mold toxicity in which my vet doesn't care. $3500 later and still no xrays. All of our breathing is jacked up from inhaling spores. There isn't much recovery on mold exposure for cats that I can find . I have seen five vets since the end of January and no luck. How can I ease our breathing?
