If you want to own a dog that is meant to be in a cold climate, then live in a cold climate. I feel so bad for "snow" dogs that live in the south.

You don't need to brush a husky every day. Only when they blow their coat, yea sure, brush every day. But thats only about twice a year. After that maybe once and week. MAYBE. Last time my husky blew her coat I didn't brush at all till she blew again. No mats, no issues.
(EDIT: I would also like to add that it only takes me two 30 minute sessions of brushing her with a double rake brush, over the course of two days, to be done for each season. She's making this more difficult than it has to be.)

Our husky hates being brushed he won't even let us bring a brush near him

We invested in a furminator for our husky/shepard mix. SO worth it. Less work than a regular brush and gets under the coat and less shedding. So less fur everywhere. Also, he looks great. Shiny coat

I have a husky and he hates being brushed. He will slowly back up under a chair or table, roll over on his back, or only give me one side. I think Iโ€™m going to do him in sections like you recommended so we both donโ€™t get frustrated with the process.

People are able to brush their hair everyday, whatโ€™s so hard about bushing your own dogs hair?! Iโ€™m no groomer, but I still brush my newfies hair multiple times a day.

Should never take a bladed brush to a huskies coat.. ๐Ÿ˜’ SMH.. Maybe groomers should start education themselves on different tool for different breeds instead of what's quickest and easiest for them.

I love how you let him sniff the furminator brush when he showed interest. I do that with my poodle and it seems to make her more comfortable when she knows what Iโ€™m touching her with.
