wow. I am currently being trained in a grooming salon and we are taught to NOT wash inside a dog's ears the way she is doing. Introducing that type of moisture is like a recipe for ear infection…jeez

Yeah, everyone who is a responsible dog owner knows better than to wash or get water inside the dog's ears, because doing so would cause an infection which would lead the dog to make it worse by scratching his ears with his hind legs and violent shaking of the head. This lady needs to be re-trained obviously.

ok this woman is obviously very untrained because you are not suppose to wash inside a dog's ear,and you are not suppose to wash the dog's private area because they lick themselves there.

i thought u weren't supposed to get water in the ears. doesn't it attract bacteria and stuff?!

  12. Kayla Beltran April 27, 2009 at 5:21 pm - Reply

yes they can get ear infections and water in there… that's why you only wet and shampoo the hair on the ears, not the inside, that's what ear cleaner is for…duh and I've only been grooming for 2 years…

you not sppes to put soap in a dogs ears

  24. Ahmed April 17, 2010 at 11:22 pm - Reply

to clean the ears use a wet wipe and only clean around the inside of the ears, dont stick things down the ears drum, but there ear washes you can get from the vets, that removes any build up in the ears, more safe.
    thumb down for this vid.

I don't think she'd still be in business if the way she washed the dogs ears was that bad and causing ear infections for all her clients. She'd have lawsuits on her hands. Yes, water in their ears can cause infections but geez, are we falling prey to vet's money making schemes a bit too much? This dog's ears stand up, meaning that if she is just washing the outer ear, it will air dry naturally. If there's no hair in his ear, it will dry quickly too.

OMG is everyone on expertvillage retarded.

Not the ears! Just wipe out any wax off of the dogs ears a with a pet wipe! Ahhh! Dont fill it with soap!

lol it looked like the dog was enjoying her cleaning around his "privates" a little too much lol look at his face when she does it.

  35. kate von February 25, 2011 at 6:53 am - Reply

@pbkid201 you do was them. but you have to make shure to get all the soap out and then use a ear cleaning solution. dogs like poodles can get real bad infections if their ears are not cleaned properly.

  36. kate von February 25, 2011 at 6:59 am - Reply

@032Psycho Show some respect! There is no need for that kind of talk even if you dont agree with her way of doing things.
