Seasonal Toxic Plants

This is the season for all kinds of toxic plants both indoors and outdoors entering our households.

Most are not good for our dogs. As we all know they are inquisitive ( especially puppies ) and will taste, touch and smell them all. Our job is not to let them injest them. Some are just plain harmful.

The following can cause organ damage and possibly death.   Azalea ,crocus, geraniums, hydrangea, tulips,  and our favorite at this time of year….. the dreaded Mistletoe.

The following can cause skin issues.   Cactus, Chryanthemums, Poinsettas.

The following can cause stomach and nervous system issues.   Aloe, amaryallis, carnations, daffodils, gladiolas, hibiscus, mums, tomato plants and good old Holly.

So let us keep our dogs healthy as possible. t
